TO THE COACH OR ON THE COUCH?

Do you know the stereotype that every second American consults a psychiatrist, i.e. is regularly supervised “on the couch”. Letter-like and long Germanized is the term “coach”, this primarily stands for trainer and sport instructor. However, a coach is much more than a supervisor with whom one only trains technique and endurance. They know that performance and success are always linked with a clear mind.

When clients approach with a pure physically training expectation, personal training will be sufficient. However, in most cases it will not be lead to long-lasting success due to the fact, that the causes of physical deficits are also mostly reflected in a psychological conflict. “Mens sana in corpore sano,” says the Latin.

When this case is sensed by me during the training, I do suggest my clients that they also look at possible inner causes. This is done in a sensitive and respectful manner and only to a certain extent that my client is willing to do so. Nobody has to “get on the couch” for this. We will sit together in a quiet atmosphere to see if something has fallen out of the inner order in addition to the physical deficit.

Only then I am a personal coach, who sees your personality as a unit and systematically activates a solution.
